The goal of the Office of Transportation Policy, in consultation with the Commissioners of Transportation, Economic and Community Development and Environmental Protection, is to ensure the coordination of state and regional transportation planning with other state planning efforts.

This includes, but is not limited to, economic development and housing plans; coordination of interagency policy and initiatives concerning transportation; in consultation with the Commissioner of Transportation, evaluation of transportation initiatives and proposed expenditures; and the coordination of staff and consultative services for the Transportation Strategy Board.
